Beautiful stay at Courtyard Barn. We were a group of 12 and doggie and enjoyed very much. The dog had space to play frisbee and run around and there was plenty to keep us entertained in the house whilst the weather was bad. Highly recommend. Thank you for hosting us.

A perfect stay at a perfect place for our middle-aged stag do! The groom requested a place in great surroundings, near a good walk and with pubs on our doorstep and that was exactly what we got. 13 of us fit very happily in the five bedrooms and then really enjoyed hanging out inside and outside the property. The bench at the top of the field overlooking Tideswell was a particular treat. Would highly recommend to any decently behaved stag, hen or large group. But if you’re looking for somewhere to be rowdy it might not be best as you have to be a bit conscious of noise given proximity to neighbours. Marcus was incredibly helpful before and during our trip. Always available for questions, incredibly thorough with information and a good bloke to boot. Big recco is to walk down Meadow Lane to the Anglers Rest for a drink and get on the Monsal Trail, finishing at the Monsal Head Hotel. And then enjoy all the pubs Tideswell has to offer.

We had a great time staying here. As a group we’ve been coming to Tideswell annually to the last 8 years and know the town well, but have never had the chance to stay so centrally before. It’s a perfect place to stay for large groups with a great open plan living and dining area, perfect for everyone to be together and a very well-equipped kitchen to allow for proper cooking for a large number of people. Good number of bedrooms with a mixture of configurations for flexibility. Location was perfect for pubs as well as being able to walk straight out onto the dales in a few minutes. Communications from Marcus were great and very detailed, meaning we were all able to find the place easily. All in all, a great place to stay in a fantastic location.

We had a great stay here. The house was fantastic for our group of 11 and dog. There was plenty of space for us and the added touch of having games available made our stay very enjoyable. There were some nice local walks. Marcus was a great host, he provided us with plenty of information on what to see and the local area. He was very responsive in helping us throughout our stay.

We stayed as a large group of lads for a catch up before my wedding (think tame-ish stag do). The place was perfect, table tennis + football were a great pastime after a few beers. Everything spotless and great communication from the host, 5 stars.

Well appointed, spacious barn conversion, converted to a high standard. Perfect for our party of 12 including 2 children. We enjoyed barbecue, table tennis and table football and the other facilities provided. Excellent location for exploring the peak district.

Lovely big house in a lovely little village. Co-op and a number of lovely pubs are within easy walking distance and the house itself was comfortable and clean. If you are not driving yourself, do note that it may be difficult to find a taxi or rideshare service in the village, so be prepared.

A great and indeed quirky house. We stayed here with friends and family to celebrate my 40th - definitely a birthday to remember! Loads of space for entertaining both inside and out. Well-equipped and comfortable. We were lucky enough to have glorious weather as well, so made full use of the BBQ and chiminea which provided a great evening dining experience. The location is great too, quite but yet close to local amenities and Tideswell itself is a good base to explore the other surrounding parts of the Peak District. Also, can't fault the communication and welcome from Marcus and Kirsty (and Marmite of course!). Much appreciated. We'd happily stay again and would recommend the house without question for family gatherings and celebrations. Many thanks.

We stayed here with the extended family for a birthday celebration. The accommodation was excellent. Loads of indoor and outdoor space. Lots of bathrooms which was helpful. Kitchen area had plenty of good equipment and making food there was a good experience. The outdoor space is extensive and a nice and peaceful place to relax. Good BBQ too! Marcus the host is excellent, friendly and helpful. I’d recommend this accommodation!
